From SAN PABLO RESERVOIR Staff – February 8, 2015
This weekend’s trout derby held by Fish Sniffer was a huge success. We had a large turn out of fishermen. Fish were being caught everywhere from Scow canyon, Sandy Point, Farrell’s landing and the Rock wall. Fishing from the shore seemed to work best. Soak light colored powerbait like yellow or orange.
Fishing for catfish is best by the boat launch. Recent rains have increased the flow of water in the area and also clouded up the water a bit in the boat launch area. Fish using stinky bait like chicken livers or anchovies.
The bass bite is turning on at San Pablo. Fish are in pre spawn and there is a lots of good quality bass are being caught.
