This weekend’s storms have not prevented fishermen from coming. For those who came out they were rewarded with a few Trout. Majority of trout were caught in Scow Canyon and by the rock wall area. Hot baits are Mice tails and Yellow power bait. A few fish were caught by the Main Rec Pier and V’S landing.
Fish wacky rigged worms from the shore near dock and drop offs. There are plenty off good sized bass that are hungry.

Fish Plant: Mt. Lassen Trout 3400 lbs on 2/4/14 and 1000 of Fish and Wildlife
Ryan Sandoval, from Richmond caught 1 Trout weighing 1.9lbs in 3 hours using Yellow Powerbait at V’S Landing on 2-6-15.
The Main Rec is holds a monthly trout derby. The largest three trout weight in for that month get prizes. It $5 to enter the derby. You must buy your ticket before fishing that day.
The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours during February will be 6:30 am to 5:00 pm and boats need to be off the water by 4:00 pm. The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks, drinks and tackle available. The Café is also open 6 days of the week from 9:00 – 3:30 so visitors can get some delicious food.
